MoU signed on e-training skills for girls

LAHORE :10 April:A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed here Thursday between the Punjab Women Development Department and Enablers Skill Development regarding the provision of E-Training to girls at their homes during lockdown. The MoU was signed under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Women Development Ashifa Riaz at Women Development Secretariat here, Thursday. Women Development Secretary Ambreen Raza and the heads of ESD were also present. Provincial Minister said while launching this two months diploma programme, the project was launched in accordance with economy rejuvenation plan for youths and specially girls to offer virtual opportunities via different online platforms and virtual skill development techniques. She said it was necessary to promote the culture of work from home, services-based employment and entrepreneurship, direct and indirect job opportunities for youths. LGH coronavirus helpline: On the instructions of Punjab government, the Department of Telemedicine at Lahore General Hospital has been playing an active role and secured prominence in providing guidance to the citizens regarding coronavirus. To provide timely medical advice, LGH has doubled the number of telephone lines for corona helpline and has now allocated four telephone numbers i.e. 042-99268808, 042-99268809, 042-99268819, 042-99268837 in this regard. The staff will be available 24 hours to guide the citizens and address their queries to safe them from the inconvenience of coming to the hospital. Talking about this, Postgraduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Principal Prof Dr Muhammad Al-freed Zafar said that the purpose of the initiative was to save the people from coronavirus.
