LAHORE:31 January:A one-day job fair was held at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) here on Thursday, in which a total of 40 companies had set up stalls, displayed their products and brochures and registered the university’s students for jobs. The Office of University Advancement and Financial Aid (OUAFA) had organised the job fair which was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad along with Faisal Fareed while Director (OUAFA) Dr Muhammad Hayat Jaspal and a large number of industry representatives, faculty members and students were present. Speaking on the occasion, Faisal Fareed emphasised young students to learn about the vision of technology because in the modern era many of latest software were used for diseases diagnosis. He also urged students to focus on learning new skills. Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad said there was need to enhance potential in students to fulfill the requirement of industry. He added the objective of the job fair was to promote academia and industries linkage. Dr Muhammad Hayat Jaspal said UVAS was providing best opportunity to its students to connect with the industry and find better career placements for their bright future.The news.
