Punjab University inks MoU

Lahore :15 December: Punjab University on Wednesday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). PU VC Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir and SECP Commissioner Akif Saeed signed the MoU. According to the MoU, SECP would ensure availability of resource persons to conduct seminars while PU would provide at least two slots in each semester for conducting seminars.The news.

Post Graduate Medical Institute get modern training to young doctors

Lahore:13 December: The Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Principal Prof Dr Ghias-un-Nabi Tayyab called upon young doctors to get modern training in all medical fields and keep their knowledge up-to-date. He was addressing the 4th “Intensive Review Course for Orthopedic Department” on Tuesday here at Lahore General Hospital (LGH). LAHORE:13 December:The families of Turkish teachers, who were affiliated with Pak-Turk schools and could not leave Pakistan due to passport issues, say they were being pushed to the brink of starvation. Information Technology University to set up innovative lab

LAHORE:13 December: The Information Technology University (ITU) founding Vice Chancellor Dr Umar Saif on Tuesday said the university would establish an innovative lab on its main campus. He said this while chairing the 7th meeting of ITU syndicate. The meeting was informed that ITU has acquired ‘W’ category ranking from the National Computing Accreditation Council and an endorsement from the HEC. The meeting also discussed the details regarding first convocation, scheduled on Dec 17, of the graduate batch which was enrolled in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science programmes.

Punjab University announces results

LAHORE:13 December: The Punjab University on Tuesday announced that Dec 27 would be the last date for submission of admission forms and fee for MA/MSc Part-II supplementary examination 2017. Meanwhile PU declared results of annual examination 2017 of MA Diplomacy and Strategic Studies Part-I, MA International Relations Part-I, MA Kashmiryat Part-I, MA Persian Part-I, MSc Tourism and Hospitality Management Part-I, MSc Space Science Part-I, and MSc Gender Studies Part-II. Lahore Knowledge Park signs agreement for civil work

LAHORE :December 13: Lahore Knowledge Park Company (LKPC) has signed an agreement with Infrastructure Development Authority of Punjab (IDAP) to carry out civil works at the site of Lahore Knowledge Park (LKP). According to the arrangement, IDAP will be acting as the executing agency for the construction works of LKP in two phases which include security road, entrance gates, civic infrastructure and civic amenities for the development of the park.

Protest against high fee, low quality of education

Lahore:December 11:In connection with Human Rights Day-2017, a large number of parents and civil society members organised a demonstration against fee-hike and declining quality of education by private schools on Sunday. Chanting slogans and carrying placards at the demo, organised by the Parents Action Committee (PAC) and Civil Society Network at Liberty roundabout, the demonstrators, including schoolchildren expressed strong concerns over ‘high-handedness’ of private schools and termed the same a ‘mafia’ fleecing people in the name of education.

150 IT labs to be set up across Punjab
