University of Health Sciences declares MDCAT result

LAHORE:09 november: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) declared the result of Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT), 2017 on Wednesday. According to a press release issued here, a total of 48,533 candidates appeared in the test held on October 29, out of which 61.74pc scored 60 per cent and above marks, 14.38pc scored 50 to 59 per cent whereas 11.55pc candidates secured 40 to 49 per cent marks.

Lahore:November 3: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore has declared the result of second professional BDS annual examination 2017. A total of 726 candidates of 12 institutes appeared in the exam out of which 532 passed. The supplementary exams will start on December 15. Aroob Aishah Awan of Lahore Medical and Dental College Lahore, Anum Khizar of Margalla Institute of Health Sciences Rawalpindi and Ayesha Sohail of de'Montmorancy College of Dentistry Lahore got first, second and third positions respectively.The news.

LAHORE :September 25:The launching ceremony of the autobiography of University of Health Sciences (UHS), member board of governors and ex-Vice Chancellor, Prof Malik Hussain Mubbashar will be held on Monday (today) at the Shams Auditorium of the University. The autobiography “Meem Bashar” has been published by Sang-e-Meel Publications. Prof. Malik Hussain Mubbashar (Sitara-e-Imtiaz, Hilal-e-Imtiaz), who served as VC UHS from 2003 to 2012, has been recognized with the title ‘Professor Emeritus’ by the Syndicate of the University.

LAHORE:22 august: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has written a application to the Cyber Crime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to probe rumours making rounds on social media that the Medical and Dental Colleges' Admission Test (MDCAT) 2017, held on Sunday, was leaked before its commencement. The university has categorically denied and condemned a malicious campaign on social media from some hidden elements and has asked the FIA to act against those spreading rumours about the paper leakage.

LAHORE:22 august: University of Health Sciences (UHS) has categorically denied and condemned a malicious campaign on social media from some hidden elements with regards to the Medical & Dental Colleges’ Admission Test (MDCAT), 2017, held on Sunday, and asked Cyber Crime Wing of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to act against those spreading rumours of paper leak. In a press release issued on Monday, UHS spokesman said the news of paper leak is baseless and it is being spread on social media to malign an institution which is known for its valid, reliable and secure systems.

PG admission body to redress YDA grievances

LAHORE:01August: A committee on demands of Young Doctors Association (YDA) has recommended bringing disputed cases under Central Induction Policy to Academic Councils and referred to the PG Admission Committee to redress the grievances of the candidates. “The yardstick of regulatory authority for the induction of both undergraduate and postgraduate trainees should be followed,” recommended the committee in a meeting to deliberate on the demands of Young Doctors Association (YDA) held at University of Health Sciences, Lahore.
