Lahore:23 august:School of Health Sciences at University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, on Tuesday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Surraya Azim (Waqf) Hospital for future collaboration, training and practical exposure of medical students and faculty involvement in knowledge transformation. UMT Director General Abid HK Shirwani and Iftikhar Chaudhry, member of the Surraya Azim Hospital Governing Body signed the agreement.

University of Health Sciences writes to FIA to probe admission test leakage rumours

LAHORE:22 august: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has written a application to the Cyber Crime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to probe rumours making rounds on social media that the Medical and Dental Colleges' Admission Test (MDCAT) 2017, held on Sunday, was leaked before its commencement. The university has categorically denied and condemned a malicious campaign on social media from some hidden elements and has asked the FIA to act against those spreading rumours about the paper leakage.

LAHORE:22 august: University of Health Sciences (UHS) has categorically denied and condemned a malicious campaign on social media from some hidden elements with regards to the Medical & Dental Colleges’ Admission Test (MDCAT), 2017, held on Sunday, and asked Cyber Crime Wing of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to act against those spreading rumours of paper leak. In a press release issued on Monday, UHS spokesman said the news of paper leak is baseless and it is being spread on social media to malign an institution which is known for its valid, reliable and secure systems.

PG admission body to redress YDA grievances

LAHORE:01August: A committee on demands of Young Doctors Association (YDA) has recommended bringing disputed cases under Central Induction Policy to Academic Councils and referred to the PG Admission Committee to redress the grievances of the candidates. “The yardstick of regulatory authority for the induction of both undergraduate and postgraduate trainees should be followed,” recommended the committee in a meeting to deliberate on the demands of Young Doctors Association (YDA) held at University of Health Sciences, Lahore.

UHS declares BSc nursing results

LAHORE:June 8: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Tuesday announced results of BSc nursing (Post RN 2-Year) annual examination. According to details, a total of 186 candidates from seven affiliated institutes appeared in the exams. The passing percentage rained 77.3 percent, with 143 candidates passed and 42 failed Sadia Ibraheem of the New Life College of Nursing, Multan, bagged first position by securing 452marks. Shabana Nasim of the Postgraduate College of Nursing, Lahore, got second position by securing 439 marks.

Information Technology University holds job fair

LAHORE:24 May:The first-ever job fair of Information Technology University (ITU) for its first ever batch of software, electrical engineers and master’s degree holders was held at the university’s Arfa Software Technology Park campus here on Tuesday. ITU Vice-Chancellor and Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister Dr Umar Saif along with Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Chairman Dr Muhammad Nizamuddin inaugurated the job fair. ITU Registrar Zaheer Sarwar and other officials were also present.
