PU Hailey College dinner to greet newly enrolled students of MBA

LAHORE:April 18: Punjab University (PU) Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF) organised a dinner to greet the newly enrolled students of MBA (evening programme). Pnjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Zakria Zakar, HCBF Principal Prof Dr Mubashir Munawar Khan, faculty members and students were present on the occasion. Punjab University demanded reinstatement of teacher Dr Ammar Ali Jan

LAHORE:April 18: Students from Punjab University (PU) Institute of Social & Cultural Studies (ISCS) on Tuesday held a demonstration at New Campus and demanded reinstatement of their teacher Dr Ammar Ali Jan. Reportedly, the faculty member was fired by the PU administration a couple of days back for allegedly instigating the university students vis-à-vis recent political and social developments in the country.

Punjab University BA/BSc Part-I annual exams will commence

LAHORE:April 12: Punjab University BA/BSc Part-I annual examinations 2018 will commence from April 19, for which roll number slips have been dispatched to all candidates through registered mail on their addresses. Punjab University seminar on ‘Drug Addiction and Abuse

Lahore: Punjab University (PU) Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS) organised a seminar on ‘Drug Addiction and Abuse: Treatment and Prevention”. Prof Dr Rubina Zakar presided over the ceremony while Drug Advisory Training Hub (DATH) Director Syed Zulfiqar Hussain and counselor for drug addicts Hamid Hashmi were the chief guests. Dr Rubina said drug addiction was a global issue. She highlighted the importance of raising awareness about it.

Punjab University a debate competition of Tax Day celebrations

LAHORE:April 6: Auqaf and Religious Affairs Minister Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri has said that it is the youth who will determine the road map of the nation. Addressing students at a debate competition organised by Punjab Revenue Authority on the topic ”Tax Evasion is an Impediment to Growth” as a forerunner of Tax Day celebrations, he appreciated PRA’s effort for introducing such healthy competition as part of its Tax Day celebrations on a topic which he considered was need of the hour. He asked the PRA to introduce such more healthy activities.

Punjab University Centre for South Asian Studies Seminar

Lahore:05 April: Punjab University Centre for South Asian Studies (CSAS) and Department of Political Science will organise a seminar on “A Reflection on Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir” on Thursday (today) at 2:30pm in the seminar hall of CSAS. Ms Mishal Malik, w/o Yasin Malik (JKLF), will address on the occasion. Punjab University Kashmir solidarity walk

Lahore:05 April: Punjab University’s Centre for South Asian Studies and Department of Political Science organised a rally to express solidarity with the people of Indian Held Kashmir (IHK). Department of Political Science Chairperson Prof Dr Umbreen Javaid, Academic Staff Association President Dr Mahboob Hussain, faculty members and students were present on the occasion. The rally was started from Department of Political Science and concluded outside Faisal Auditorium. The participants were chanting slogans against Indian brutalities on killing of innocent Kashmiris.

Punjab University two-day training workshop of Library Professionals

Lahore:01April: Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Chairperson Prof Dr Nizam-ud-Din Saturday said library professionals must abreast themselves with the emerging trends of information and communication management to boost efficacy and professionalism. He was addressing the concluding ceremony of two-day training workshop on "Capacity Building of Library Professionals" at Punjab University (PU). The workshop was aimed to enhance the communication and leadership skills. Heads of different public sector libraries of Punjab attended the workshop.
