Another US patent awarded to PUCIT faculty

LAHORE:10 november:Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT) Assistant Professor Muhammad Kamran Malik has been awarded the US patent titled “System and process for natural language processing and reporting.” Malik said that organisations were in need for quick, usable intelligence in order to drive their business needs such as market research and customer perception. Punjab University delegation visits Iqbal mausoleum

Punjab University residential apartments inaugurated

LAHORE :09 november:Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zaffar Mueen Nasir on Wednesday inaugurated 36 newly-constructed residential apartments for teachers, administrative officers and other employees at New Campus. PU newbies break in with artwork at the Shakir

LAHORE:06 November:An exhibition titled as ‘Subjective realities’ was organised where 19 recent graduates of Punjab University (PU) College of Art and Design showcased their works to the public at the Shakir Ali Museum in the city. One of the artists, Zeb-Un-Nisa Asad’s thesis revolved around the phenomenon of over-thinking. Explaining the concept that drove her artistic process, Nisa said that everyone had passed through variety of situations and challenges during their lifespan which had helped them become better and practical every time.

Punjab university VC Trauma centre inaugurated

LAHORE :November 4:The University of Punjab (PU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir on Friday inaugurated ‘Psychological Trauma Centre’ at Centre for Clinical Psychology. This is the first initiative by any university for mental treatment of the patients facing psychological problems. Faculty of Life Sciences Dean Prof Dr Naeem Khan, Centre for Clinical Psychology Director Prof Dr Rukhsana Kausar, senior faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

Punjab University staff concerned over land to Lesco

LAHORE:October 22:A delegation of Punjab University Academic Staff Association (PUASA) called on Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zaffar Mueen Nasar and expressed concerns over possible allotment of varsity’s land to Lesco for construction of a feeder. The delegation, led by President Javed Sami, informed VC that the teaching community would not allow allocation of varsity’s land to any institution other than academic purposes.The news.

Punjab University to probe controversial PhD admissions at ICS

Lahore:October 13:According to the MoU, PU would forward the credentials entered by students to NADRA and NADRA would send verification report against each data in a few days. Dr Nasir said that the MoU was a part of administration’s vision to introduce digital reforms in the university and replace obsolete existing system with the modern ones.
