LAHORE:July 25: Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman Dr Umar Saif has said that E-Rozgar scheme has produced thousands of young entrepreneurs who have earned billions of rupees through online projects. He said this while addressing the launching ceremony of E-Rozgar Centre at Punjab University (PU) here Tuesday. Punjab University Library received books from PU Library Chief

LAHORE:July 21: Punjab University Library received books from personal collection of late Prof Dr Aftab Asghar, PU Library Chief Librarian Dr Muhammad Haroon Usmani, noted scholar late Muhammad Aalam Mukhtar e Haq and distinguished professor in Iqbal studies Dr Syed Muhammad Akram Ikram. According to Chief Librarian Dr Muhammad Haroon Usmani, the collections consisted of more than 25,000 very precious, rare and valuable books, manuscripts and journals.

PU VC addressing a meeting of deans, principals, directors at Al Raazi

Punjab University condemned incidents of terrorism in Mastung

LAHORE:July 16: Punjab University’s Academic Staff Association (PUASA) has condemned the recent incidents of terrorism in Mastung and Bannu and offered condolences to the bereaved families. In a press release issued on Sunday, the PUASA office-bearers said the entire teaching community stood with their Baloch and Pakhtun brethren. They also prayed for the departed souls.

Punjab University Professor participated in an international Conference

Punjab govt Portfolio of Higher Education,Special Education, Literacy

LAHORE:20 June: Punjab government on Tuesday withdrew portfolio of Higher Education, Schools Education, Special Education, Literacy & Non-Formal and Basic Education from caretaker provincial minister Ch Faisal Mushtaq. It is pertinent to mention here that there was strong resentment among general public over the award of portfolio of education to caretaker minister Ch Faisal Mushtaq as he owns a chain of private schools.

PU College of Earth Sciences won an environmental research project

Lahore:14 June: Punjab University College of Earth and Environmental Sciences has won an environmental research project from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan worth Rs 3.7m. CEES Principal Prof Dr Sajid Rashid had proposed the research project titled “reduction in air emissions through modifications and improve efficiency in firing of brick kiln units”.
