Lahore:19 september:University of Education (UOE) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam was the chief guest of the concluding ceremony. While addressing the participants, the VC said teaching was not just delivery of lecture rather it was a full fledge learning process, which included delivering lecture, assessment and evaluation of students, use of latest technologies in teaching learning process. He urged the participants to be very honest while making assessment and evaluation of students because their assessment shapes the academic destiny of the students.

Lahore:06 September:A state-of-the-art fitness centre has been established in the main campus of the University of Education. The university Vice-Chancellor Dr Rauf-e-Azam inaugurated the centre. Addressing on the occasion, he said we are well aware of the mental and physical health of our students and teachers because, in order to excel in our studies, we have to be mentally and physically fit. He expressed hope that the fitness centre would be proved very useful for the teachers, staff and students of the university.
Lahore:14 July: The 4th consultative session “Higher Education in Pakistan: Challenges and Opportunities” was held on Friday at University of Education’s Township campus. According to a press release, representatives of federal Higher Education Commission (HEC), Punjab HEC, Vice-Chancellors (VCs) of various universities and other stakeholders attended the event. Vice-Chancellor University of Education Dr Rauf-e-Azam said the dialogue was aimed to discuss the problems being faced by higher education sector and put forward meaningful recommendations.
LAHORE: 30 March: A national level organisation, working on youth development, in collaboration with University of Education (UE), Lahore and Oxfam Pakistan held a seminar on “Engaging Youth for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. The seminar was organised to provide orientation and awareness to youths about the SDGs specifically in the context of Pakistan. The topics that were brought into discussion were mainly three SDGs, which were SDG-5 (Gender Equality), SDG-8 (Sustained, Inclusive and Sustainable Growth) and SDG-16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) respectively.

Lahore:September 22: University of Education (UOE) Thursday organised a seminar in connection with 15 years celebrations of the establishment of Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. According to a press release, speaking on the occasion, University of Education Vice-Chancellor Dr Rauf-i-Azam lauded the achievements of HEC during the last 15 years and said because of HEC, higher education was being spread in Pakistan at a great speed.

Lahore:22 august:The syndicate of University of Education (UOE) in its 51st meeting held on Monday approved the varsity’s annual budget of Rs1.844 billion for financial year 2017-18. The meeting was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam. According to budget details, a sum of Rs1.425 billion has been reserved for non-development while 418.301 million will be spent on development projects. Lahore:18 august:The first academy for the training of college and university teachers of Punjab will be inaugurated at University of Education on August 21. According to a press release, the academy has been established under a special initiative of the Punjab government to enhance the quality of education. LAHORE:August 1: University of Education (UE) on Monday announced the schedule of admissions to its BS/MA/MSc, MPhil and PhD programmes. The university spokesman in a statement said the admission forms would be submitted only through online. The last date to apply for BS/MA/MSc programmes is September 20, 2017, whereas the last date to apply for MPhil and PhD programmes is August 16, 2017. The students can download the admission form from the university’s website www.ue.edu.pk and apply online.

LAHORE:10 May:University of Education (UoE) is planning to organise Women Leadership Programme 2017 on March 4 with the support of different organisations at its Township Campus.
