Lahore:August 31: Punjab University (PU) on Tuesday organised a ceremony in the honour of toppers of the BA/BSc Annual Examination 2016 who were awarded prizes of Rs100,000, Rs75,000 and Rs65,000 each on bagging first, second and third position, respectively.

Lahore:30 august: Punjab University on Monday announced the results of BA/BSc Annual Examination 2016, according to which, the overall pass percentage remained 37.66.
According to the results, all the top three positions were clinched by the girls in BSc examination. BSc student Ms Huma, roll number 15881, bagged overall first position by scoring 702 marks out of 800; BSc student Zara Nasir, roll number 10473, stood second by securing 699 marks and BSc student Maryam Saba, roll number 23441, stood third by securing 697 marks.

Lahore:August 25:A meeting of Punjab University Advanced Studies and Research Board (AS&RB) was held under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran here on Wednesday which approved 17 PhD synopses, 13 evaluation reports, 15 panel of examiners, four extensions and seven miscellaneous cases.

The university has started advance booking of CDs of result gazette for BA/BSc Annual Examination 2016 and according to PU spokesperson 100 CDs will be sold on ‘first come first serve’ basis for Rs 300 each CD.

Lahore:09 August:A group of students in Lahore held at demonstration at the Liberty Roundabout on Monday to mourn the loss of at least 70 lives in the suicide blast at Civil Hospital, Quetta.
The students were affiliated with the Democratic Students’ Alliance (DSA).They said they demanded the authorities concerned to protect and respect the constitutionally guaranteed rights of life and security of the Baloch people.
DSA member Ramis Sohail said they had gathered on a short notice to express solidarity with the bereaved families.

Lahore:August 01:The four-day IEEE COMSOC Summer School Programme 2016 organised by Al-Khawarizmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS), UET in collaboration with IEEE UET Lahore, IEEE COMSOC Lahore Section and IEEE Punjab University concluded on Sunday. The first two days of the programme were held at the Punjab University while the KICS-UET hosted the remaining programme.
