LAHORE :12 August: Punjab University’s Hailey College of Commerce Assistant Professor Dr Hafiz Zafar Ahmed participated in 8th International Conference on Restructuring of the Global Economy (ROGE) and got certificate of “Best Track Presenter”. According to a press release, the conference was organised by University of Oxford’s Said Business School and Academy of Business & Retail Management.

Tevta campaign to plant trees in its 400 institutes across Punjab

LAHORE:August 10: Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) has kicked off the Green Tevta campaign to plant trees in its 400 institutes across Punjab. During a meeting chaired by Tevta General Manager Amir Aziz, committees were constituted to supervise the campaign. Amir Aziz said Independence Day would be a mega day this time. The students and staff in all institutes of Tevta would not only celebrate the Independence Day but also plant trees. He also advised the students to take part in the campaign enthusiastically. The drive would continue till August 20.The news.

LCWU displayed first merit list for admissions to FA/FSc first year

Lahore :08 August: Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has displayed the first merit list for admissions to FA/FSc first year with FSc (pre-medical) on top with 1,053 marks. A spokesperson for LCWU said dues could be submitted from August 8 to August 10 in the campus while the second merit list would be displayed on August 10.The news.

LAHORE:06 August: The graduation ceremony of WhizKids 2018, a project of Information Technology University (ITU) and PITB catering to students aged 8 to 18 years, was held at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP). According to a press release issued on Sunday, speaking at the closing ceremony, Dr Umar Saif, founding Vice-Chancellor of ITU and PITB Chairman, said under the project kids had been given an experience to learn in an environment that promote the ‘learning by doing’ model. He added WhizKids programme was designed to empower students with state-of-the-art technology.

FUUAST is largest federally-run education institute Minister for Education

Lahore:August 4:Caretaker Federal Minister for Education Mohammad Yousuf Shaikh visited the Federal Urdu University for Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) on Friday and informed the acting management that the Higher Education Commission has included the varsity's Gulshan-e-Iqbal campus in its ‘90 smart campuses of Pakistan’ list.

FUUAST non-teaching staff to protest against acting management

Lahore:03 August:The non-teaching staff at the Federal Urdu University for Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) announced a protest demonstration on Friday (today) against the varsity’s acting management. As per a press statement issued by the FUUAST Non-Teaching Staffers Association, some officeholders went to the vice chancellor’s (VC) office to discuss problems they were facing, but they were not allowed to meet with the VC.
